University Neuropsychiatric Institute

  • The 90-bed psychiatric hospital providing mental health and substance abuse treatment.
  • Services include inpatient, day treatment, and intensive outpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance-abuse issue
  • Neurobehavior H.O.M.E. (Health Outcomes Medical Excellence) Program provides coordinated care for meeting the medical needs of children and adults with developmental disabilities, including primary care, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and counseling service
  • In July 2010, UNI broke ground on an 80-bed, 120,000-square-foot expansion to increase the number of inpatient beds and the capacity for outpatient, substance abuse, and aftercare services

The Brain Institute

  • Founded in 2005, the Brain Institute is dedicated to improving lives by accelerating brain research. The institute’s three-pronged mission is to foster inderdisciplinary, collaborative research; to translate knowledge into innovative treatments; and to educate the scientific and public communities about cutting-edge neuroscience
