Governor's Rural Partnership Board

Mission Statement:

The Governor's Rural Partnership board will maintain a rural voice for economic development through collaboration and representations of all interested rural partnerships and acts in an advisory capacity to the Governor on rural economic and planning issues.

Specific Duties:

Annually prepare a strategic plan to identify rural economic development, planning, and leadership training challenges by soliciting solicit input from, and work collaboratively with, the Utah Rural Development Council and the Rural Coordinating Committee.

Through the development of the annual strategy make recommendations on economic planning and development in the state's rural areas and related issues to the Governor.  The Board also report to the Legislature through the Rural Development Legislative Liaison Committee.
