A unique solidstate method of synthesizing metal oxide and metal nanoparticles has been  discovered which is simple, requires comparatively little energy and is easily scalable for  production. It produces products up to 99.9999% pure, as small as 1 nm, with size distributions of typically ±10% and can be used for particle or coating production.
